Not sure but my experience indicates that it is perhaps caused by camera use. Worse, other apps like Messages, Chrome are having issues when they try to open URL/Links. I've tried this and several similar "fixes" to no avail. Can't Open Links On Iphone 6 also in terms of providing some information, before this case i installed "google maps" and "figure" apps. Run a manual iTunes backup if you do that as well. Maybe because I have a lot of app (around 270!!!) and an other app introduce the same issue like Booking.

I think I opened the Booking.com app by clicking, accidentally, on an email link. If I touch a link on a website, it doesn't freeze but it does nothing and the link goes nowhere. It did not work for me (tried a few times), but posting in case it might help others. I read that Twitter had a app association file that was several megabytes. I even tried to install apps one by one and see if one of them was causing the issue.
